Let's Get Cookin' 2025: A Foodie’s Dream Come True

Hey there, it's Kenzi J, and I am beyond excited for Let's Get Cookin' 2025! If you're anything like me, you LOVE trying new foods, especially those gourmet dishes you wouldn’t normally think to order when dining out. This event is the perfect opportunity to satisfy your adventurous foodie side and discover new local favorites all in one unforgettable night.

One of my favorite things about Let's Get Cookin' is getting the chance to experience dishes from restaurants I haven’t had the chance to try yet. It’s like a culinary passport, giving me a taste of South Jersey's best all under one roof—or should I say, under one giant waterpark! Yep, this year’s event is happening at Island Waterpark at Showboat Atlantic City on February 5th at 6 PM. Talk about making waves with flavor!

And guess who’s joining the fun this year? My colleague Mike from the 95.1 WAYV Mike & Diane Morning Show will be one of the judges! I hope they have bibs ready because Mike is an oinkster when it comes to good food. He'll be there stuffing his face, all in the name of determining who takes home the culinary crown. Okay, there won’t be an actual crown or belt (though that would be epic), but there will be awards honoring the tastiest dishes and the most creative chefs.

Speaking of winners, I can't talk about Let's Get Cookin' without mentioning my dad and absolute favorite dish from last year—Crispy Wasabi Crusted Tuna from Chef Stephan Johnson at Dock's Oyster House. This masterpiece took home top honors at Let's Get Cookin' 2024, and when I asked Chef Stephan if he was planning to switch things up this year, he chuckled and said,

"I was thinking about bringing something new to the table,

but it's really a favorite and the most requested dish at Dock's right now.

'If it's not broke, don't fix it!' People who don't even like tuna or wasabi

can't believe how delicious my Crispy Wasabi Crusted Tuna is.

It's that unbelievable!"

I'm also super excited to see Chef Leslie Daniel from Hard Rock Atlantic City returning this year! I had the pleasure of experiencing one of his infamous dishes at last year's event and again at a gala, but I’ve yet to dine at Kuro—definitely on my bucket list this year.

And let’s not forget about Tony Boloney’s Mad Mutz Mozzarella Sticks. Not your average cheese stick—trust me! You’ll be amazed at how they elevate a simple snack into something extraordinary.

But here’s the best part: The primary goal of Let’s Get Cookin’ 2025 is to raise funds to benefit the Atlantic City Boys and Girls Club. All proceeds from ticket sales, the silent auction, and any other donations will directly support the organization’s mission. The Boys and Girls Club provides essential programs that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development for the youth in the Atlantic City area.

So, if you love great food, discovering new flavors, and having an absolute blast while supporting a fantastic cause—Let's Get Cookin' 2025 is where you need to be.

See you there, hungry and ready to eat!
