Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City announced plans to invest over $50 million in property enhancements for 2025. This investment is part of a larger seven-year, $270 million transformation project that began in 2018. The 2025 upgrades will include the renovation of more than 500 rooms and suites, an expansion of the casino's Asian-themed gaming space, and the introduction of several new dining options.
The resort will unveil 559 new Blu Rooms and Suites, completing a multi-year project to transform all 1,860 guest rooms. These rooms feature beach-inspired designs, with luxurious bathrooms and additional amenities for guests. The casino's Asian gaming area will double in size to 8,000 square feet, offering 32 gaming tables, including Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker, according to PR Newswire.
New dining options will include two restaurants in partnership with restaurateur Stephen Starr, offering Americana and French cuisines. LaScala's Fire, a popular Italian-American restaurant, will also open on the casino level. Other additions include a smoothie and acai bowl spot called Blend, and High Steaks, which will serve premium cheesesteaks. These dining concepts are expected to open in early summer.
Additionally, Ocean Casino Resort will introduce Ocean's 18 Mini Golf & Bar, a two-story entertainment venue featuring immersive holograms and a state-of-the-art mini golf course. This venue is set to open later this summer. The resort will also expand its beachfront area, thanks to a $92.6 million sand replenishment project by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, providing guests with more exclusive beachfront activities.
Bill Callahan, General Manager for Ocean Casino Resort, stated, "Ocean continues to invest in property enhancements that enable us to provide an unmatched guest experience not only in Atlantic City, but nationwide." The resort aims to complete these projects by the end of the year, enhancing its reputation as a top destination in Atlantic City, as reported by PlayNJ and NJB Magazine.
