Two South Jersey towns, Atlantic City and Cape May, have been recognized among the "25 Best Christmas Towns in the U.S." by Travel and Leisure. The list celebrates towns across the country that offer beautiful decorations and festive events during the holiday season.

Atlantic City, known for its casinos and boardwalk, was ranked 23rd on the list. The city's holiday festivities include the annual tree lighting at The Quarter at Tropicana shopping center and the holiday market at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University. The city's lively spirit and vivid people-watching opportunities were also highlighted by Travel and Leisure.

Cape May, a Jersey Shore town with a strong Victorian streak, was ranked 21st. The town's quaint architecture and the historic Congress Hall resort, which hosts festive family-friendly activities, were noted as contributing to its charm during the holiday season. Cape May's holiday staples include Winter Wonderland at Congress Hall, the West Cape May Christmas Parade, holiday-themed trolley rides, Breakfast with Santa events, and multiple tree lighting ceremonies. Visitors can also admire the town's decor during its annual Christmas Candlelight House Tours, held the first three Saturdays in December.
