It will be an exciting and fun day for the whole family this Thursday, August 15, as the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales pay a first-time visit to Margate! From 2-3pm Thursday, you can watch the 8-horse hitch being harnessed to a red Budweiser beer wagon in front of the Island House Condo building in the beach block of Cedar Grove Avenue. Then the Clydesdales will make their way around the streets of Margate from 3-4pm, with photo stops in front of Lucy the Elephant, the Historical Society building on Washington Avenue and around the corner in front of fire station #1 on Ventnor Avenue. In case you are wondering, a single Clydesdale consumes up to 25 quarts of feed, up to 50 pounds of hay and 30 gallons of water each day! We have admired the beautiful Budweiser Clydesdales in commercials for many years and now residents and visitors have the unique opportunity to see them up close and personal in Margate on August 15!
