Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are proof that exes can still get along.
The "Woman's World" singer took to her Instagram on Sunday (September 7) to show her support for her former fiancé following the release of his new film The Cut. The thriller follows Bloom as a retired boxer taking extraordinary and illegal lengths to make a comeback to win the title, according to IMDb.
Perry shared a trailer for the film that included heaps of praise for Bloom's performance, including one review from Variety that said the actor "gives an all-time great performance."
"proud of you @orlandobloom," she captioned the post.
Proving there's no love lost between the former flames, Bloom reacted to the show of support by leaving a red heart emoji in the comments.
Perry's praise comes days after Bloom broke his silence on his breakup from the "Firework" singer after nearly nine years of dating, telling Today that he is doing "great" and has "nothing but love" for his ex. The Lord of the Rings actor and the "Woman's World" singer were first linked in 2016 and dated off and on before getting engaged in 2019, welcoming their daughter Daisy Dove, now 5, the following year.
"I'm so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter," Bloom said. "You know, when you leave everything on the field, like I did in this movie, I feel grateful for all of it. And we're great. We're going to be great. It's nothing but love."
Reps for the Bloom and Perry confirmed their split in July with a joint statement, asking for privacy amid their "shifting" relationship.
"Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," the statement read. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect."
