Lady Gaga gave her fiancé Michael Polansky a special shoutout at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

Gaga's appearance at the VMAs in New York on Sunday (September 7) may have been brief — as she had to depart early for her Mayhem Ball concert at Madison Square Garden — but had a major impact as she took home the award for Artist of the Year. During her acceptance speech, she dedicated the win to her fiancé and thanked him for being her partner both personally and creatively.

"To my partner in all things, Michael, creating this year with you was a beautiful, beautiful dream," she said. "And you have been my partner every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, to my love."

Mother Monster also lifted up her fans for their continued support throughout her career, per E! News.

"The way you move through your life is iconic and rare," she said. "It is entirely yours. I dedicated this away to the audience. You very much deserve a stage to shine on and I give you all my applause. Thank you Little Monsters, my fans, for always supporting me and always supporting the monster in me."

The "Born This Way" singer, who confirmed her engagement to Polansky in July 2024, has previously shared how he assisted her on her most recent album MAYHEM and even co-wrote a song on the album inspired by his sweet proposal.

In addition to her award-winning night, Gaga also performed in a pre-taped segment during the show, marking her first VMAs performance in five years, wow the audience with an extravagant production of "Abracadabra" and her newest single "The Dead Dance."

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2025 MTV VMAs featured performances from some of the day's biggest artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Alex Warren, Tate McRae, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, and more.
